Tower Industry Family Support
Charitable Foundation

Since Inception:
Since its inception in September of 2014, the Tower Industry Family Support Charitable Foundation has awarded over $1,700,000 in financial assistance and scholarships to eligible tower workers and their families.
Our Mission
The Tower Family Foundation has been established to help provide financial assistance and scholarships to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on the job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis.
My husband, Ernie Jones, was killed in a tragic accident on a tall tower in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 21, 2015. He had been gone on a standard four-day tower inspection trip. He was due home on Thursday, the day after his accident.
The news and reality of his accident were almost unbearable. I was a grieving widow with a lot on my plate. Insurance money was not immediately available to me and our granddaughter who we had recently adopted.
The Tower Family Foundation stepped up to the plate and within a couple weeks I received a check in the mail for a substantial amount. I opened the check, dropped to my knees and cried! This money and support from the Foundation made a very difficult situation bearable. I will be forever grateful to the Tower Family Foundation.
Kathy - Family Support RecipientOur Story
The Tower Family Foundation was established after NATE officials were approached with the idea of forming a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting tower workers and their families in the aftermath of accidents or fatalities. Efforts to lay the groundwork began shortly thereafter, and the Foundation was officially incorporated on April 23, 2013. It received its tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status from the IRS on February 7, 2014.
