Tower Family Foundation Announces Board and Committee Leadership Appointments

Bernard Borghei and Eric Chase Join Board of Directors; Monica Vink Appointed to Endowment Committee

(Raleigh, North Carolina) – The Tower Family Foundation announced today a series of appointments to the non-profit organization’s leadership team. Bernard Borghei and Eric Chase have been appointed to serve on the Tower Family Foundation Board of Directors. Additionally, Monica Vink has been appointed to the Tower Family Foundation Endowment Committee.

Borghei and Chase will help provide overall governance and stewardship to the Foundation and play a leading role enhancing the organization’s visbility in the marketplace. Borghei currently serves as Executive Vice President of Operations and Co-Founder at Boca Raton, Florida-based Vertical Bridge, the largest private owner and operator of communications infrastructure and locations in the United States. Chase is the Chief Executive Officer at Enertech Holdings, LLC in New Braunfels, Texas. 

Vink, who is the Digital Marketing & Communications Director for PerfectVision Manufacturing in Little Rock, Arkansas, will assist in facilitating fundraising opportunities for the Tower Family Foundation. She will also serve as an ambassador for the organization at state wireless association functions and other industry events held throughout the country.

Having them in these roles will be a tremendous asset for the industry technician workers and families whom the Tower Family Foundation is committed to serving.”

The Tower Family Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that provides financial assistance and scholarships to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on-the-job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis.

Since its inception in 2014, the Tower Family Foundation has awarded $821,000 in donations and scholarships to eligible tower workers and their families. VRS P.C., an independent certified public accounting firm, has calculated that over 97 cents of every dollar donated to the Tower Family Foundation goes directly to eligible benefactors.

Biographies

Bernard Borghei is the Executive Vice President of Operations and Co-Founder at Vertical Bridge. He is responsible for Vertical Bridge’s daily operations, regulatory compliance, vendor management, engineering services, human resources and emerging technologies.

Mr. Borghei has over 25 years of experience in wireless industries and before co-founding Vertical Bridge, he served as Senior Vice President and Partner at Global Tower Partners (GTP), where he oversaw domestic and international market operations, including a portfolio of more than 6,500 towers and 12,000 managed properties.

Mr. Borghei has also held executive and senior management positions in operations, engineering, sales, supply chain, site development, and customer care at several wireless operators and service providers including SkyBitz, Wireless Facilities, Inc. Western Wireless International, and at Triton PCS where he successfully ran operations across 24 different countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North and South America.

Mr. Borghei has a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Villanova University and an MBA in global management from the University of Phoenix. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the Villanova School of Engineering and sits on the National Wireless Safety Alliance’s Board of Governors.

Eric Chase is the CEO of Enertech Holdings, LLC and founder of Enertech Resources, LLC. He has spent over 20 years working at multiple levels of the wireless telecommunications infrastructure industry. A third-generation wireless veteran, his previous experience includes site development for AT&T, project management for CCI, and the founding of Enertech Resources.

In his current role, Eric oversees the strategic direction and vision for Enertech Holdings and its member companies. Under Eric’s leadership, Enertech Holdings has expanded the geographic footprint through highly strategic acquisitions and greenfield initiatives. In doing so, Mr. Chase has orchestrated the acquisition and integration of five regional firms creating the premier super-regional wireless telecommunications infrastructure services provider in the United States.

Beginning with Enertech Resources and expanding into the Enertech Holdings member companies, Chase has established a Best-in-Class Leadership Team with an Industry-Leading Safety Track Record.

In addition to his professional efforts in the wireless infrastructure services business, Eric is also active in the auto racing business, working closely with his son Parker Chase, a driver in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship GTD who recently competed in the legendary Rolex 24 at Daytona alongside co-driver NASCAR Champion Kyle Busch. Mr. Chase lives in New Braunfels, TX and holds a BBA from Abilene Christian University.

Monica Vink is the Digital Marketing & Communications Director for PerfectVision Inc. in Little Rock, Arkansas. Monica has 10 years of experience in wireless infrastructure and has held various positions supporting the broadband and wireless industries including Sales, Marketing and Advertising. 

Monica actively supports the NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association (NATE) and NATE’s initiatives. She is a member of various industry organizations and wireless associations including Women of NATE, Women in Wireless and the Society of Cable Telecommunications (SCTE). Monica is currently serving as a mentor for Women of NATE’s (WON) Mentoring Program and Treasurer of Minnesota State Wireless Association. 

Monica holds Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing, Advertising and Business Administration from Indiana University. She is currently pursuing her MBA in Marketing & Communications with Northcentral University, specializing in Digital Marketing and Social Media. She is an active member of the American Marketing Association.

The Tower Industry Family Support Charitable Foundation has been established to help provide financial assistance to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on the job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis. The intent of the donation is to provide a funding “bridge” to the affected families to help pay for immediate needs and help defray other related costs that families experience in a post-accident or fatality situation.
