Colorado Wireless Association Hosts Successful 2016 Golf Tournament
Proceeds from Golf Event to Benefit the Tower Family Foundation
(Castle Pines, Colorado) – The Colorado Wireless Association (COWA) hosted a successful golf tournament on Thursday, July 21 in Castle Pines, Colorado. The popular COWA golf event was held south of Denver at the award-winning Ridge at Castle Pines North Golf Course, one of Colorado’s most prestigious and upscale public golf courses.
The Colorado Wireless Association is a non-profit professional association dedicated to being the voice of the wireless industry in the Centennial State. COWA members represent wireless carriers, tower companies, network developers, and vendors supporting the industry.
The proceeds raised from the 2016 COWA Golf Tournament will be donated to the Tower Family Foundation. The Tower Family Foundation is a 501c-3 non-profit organization that provides financial assistance and scholarships to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on-the-job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis. Since its inception less than 2 years ago, the Tower Family Foundation has awarded a total of $185,000 to eligible tower workers and their families.
“I would like to thank the sponsors, members and volunteers who helped make the 2016 COWA Golf Tournament a tremendous success,” said COWA President Janet Rinaldi from AT&T. “It is due to these generous contributions that COWA is able to fulfill our mission of charitable giving,” added Rinaldi.
“On behalf of the Tower Family Foundation, we are honored to be chosen by the Colorado Wireless Association as the golf event’s charitable beneficiary,” stated Foundation Board of Directors member Ben Little from Centerline Solutions. “Due to COWA’s generosity, the Tower Family Foundation will be able to continue taking care of tower workers and their families during times of need,” Little explained.

About Tower Family Foundation
The Tower Industry Family Support Charitable Foundation has been established to help provide financial assistance to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on the job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis. The intent of the donation is to provide a funding “bridge” to the affected families to help pay for immediate needs and help defray other related costs that families experience in a post-accident or fatality situation.
