Tower Family Foundation Seeking End of Year Donations

Non-Profit Organization Awarded $211,250 in Direct Financial Assistance to Affected Families in 2020

(Watertown, South Dakota) – The Tower Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is encouraging all wireless industry companies and stakeholders to make an end of year tax-deductible donation to the organization prior to December 31, 2020.

All contributions to the Tower Family Foundation are granted directly to eligible tower workers and/or their families to help assist them in paying for their immediate needs and related costs that occur in the aftermath of a post-accident or fatality situation. In 2020, the Foundation has awarded $211,250 in direct financial assistance to affected families and has donated $1,032,250 to eligible benefactors since the organization’s launch in September 2014.

“2020 has reminded us all that the tower industry is stronger than the sum of its parts, and that we can only continue to grow as a sector with one another’s help.” said Bernard Borghei, Co-founder and Executive Vice President of Operations of Vertical Bridge and Member of Tower Family Foundation’s Board of Directors. “The assistance that the Tower Family Foundation gives to our colleagues across the sector and their families when they need it the most is to be commended, and Vertical Bridge takes a great deal of pride in supporting the organization, its work and our industry.”

About Tower Family Foundation

The Tower Industry Family Support Charitable Foundation has been established to help provide financial assistance to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other on the job related activities that tower workers are involved in on a daily basis. The intent of the donation is to provide a funding “bridge” to the affected families to help pay for immediate needs and help defray other related costs that families experience in a post-accident or fatality situation.
