Sentera Donates Products to Help Raise Financial Support for Foundation and Increase Tower Climbing Safety Awareness

(Minneapolis, MN) –  Sentera, LLC, a software, sensor, and drone company; announced today plans to donate a DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone and 1-year OnTop™ Platform license to the Tower Family Foundation. The drone and software package will be auctioned off to the highest bidder via silent auction at the upcoming NATE UNITE 2016 Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 22-25, 2016.

The Tower Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to family members of severely injured, permanently disabled, or deceased tower workers.

“The Tower Family Foundation is appreciative of Sentera’s generous donation and anticipates that this drone and software package will generate immense interest by attendees of NATE UNITE 2016,” stated Foundation President Jim Tracy. “Sentera’s contribution is the latest example of the industry stepping up to the plate to support the Foundation’s important mission of providing for tower workers and their families during times of need,” added Tracy.

“Climber safety was Sentera’s motivating factor to enter the tower inspection market space,” said Greg Emerick, Executive Vice President of Business Development for Sentera. “As a proud member of NATE, we want to raise awareness about the Tower Family Foundation, encourage others to support this worthy cause, and recognize their efforts to promote safety while helping families of climbers impacted by tragic circumstances.”

“While drones will never eliminate the need to climb a tower, they are able to rapidly perform a visual inspection and identify instances where a climber is and is not physically needed on the tower. This simple visual check dramatically reduces the number of required climbs, increasing climber safety,” added Emerick.

Silent auction bids for the drone package will be accepted during the NATE UNITE 2016 Conference at the Tower Family Foundation booth #139 on the trade show floor. The winning bidder of the drone package silent auction will be announced the evening ofWednesday, February 24 during the NATE UNITE 2016 awards ceremony in the exhibit hall.

Donations independent of the silent auction are accepted through the Tower Family Foundation website at: http://towerfamilyfoundation.org/get-involved/donate/ .
